I'm attempting to burn files simultaneously to 2 Pioneer DVR-A05 drives. The drives are identical (including firmware) and I'm using Veritas RecordNow DX which supports simulaneous burning.
Here's the problem...the drives both spin up, the software indicates that both drives are selected, but then one of them returns an error during the "initialization" phase while the other continues to burn until completion. I have tested the "error" drive by itself and all is fine.
Initially, I put one drive as Master and the other as Slave on the secondary IDE (resulting in the above condition). I also attempted putting one drive as Slave to my boot HD on the primary IDE (so the drives would be on separate IDE's), but the boot process stalled.
Any ideas or suggestions? My whole reason for buying 2 drives was for simultaneous burning...
