Firstly, I'd just like to say that I'm posting in this forum because I didn't see one for camcorders.

I am thinking of buying the JVC GR-DV800 camcorder. This is an NTSC (US) camcorder as far as I can tell, I am almost certain of this. Now, I live in the UK (PAL). Earlier today I played back the NTSC sample for an SVCD on my DVD player. My DVD player is multi-region, but I don't see how that would affect SVCDs. The NTSC SVCD played back in full technicolour!!!![]()
I am wondering how this happened. I have an Acoustic Solutions DVD Player (Model No 521 or 551). Was it my DVD player or my TV? Would I be able to play back NTSC DVDs on my multiregion DVD player?
To the point... would I be able to playback this camcorder (either through A/V Out or S-Video) either into the DVD player or TV in colour (face length intact)? Or would I need to get it on my computer and convert to DVD first?
Thanks in advance.
