  1. Ok I tried to rip this Matrix DVD. Heh. This tutorial told me to use SmartRipper, but I used ClanMDEC. With SmartRipper, I get like 3 or 4 files, like a VOB and some other wierd small files. With ClanMDEC, I get only a big fat 4 GB VOB file. My question is if I am able to use only the VOB file to convert to SVCD or do I have to rerip all over again?

    Thanks.

Yes, you can use that 4GB if you ripped it properly. I'm not familar with ClanMDEC, since I always ripped with SmartRipper, it never failed on me once yet, so I'll stick with SmartRipper personally. =)

  3. If you get one VOB file that is exactly or close to 4 GB in size, the most likely thing that has happened is that you've hit the 4GB filesize limit in FAT32.

Most likely your VOB file will be unusable (it won't contain the entire movie) and you will have to rip again.

  4. Well, the movie did play in PowerDVD. What if the whole movie played successfully? I'm going to try playing the last part to see if the credits are there.

Um, will SmartRipper be able to get the movie, then? I'm trying to rip the Matrix movie.
