    it's not quite a simple yes or no....

    even if your dvd player "supposedly" plays DVD-R or DVD+R...the quality of media, the way you burn it (i.e. UDF 1.02 vs. 1.05), the speed you burn the disc, even the burning program itself can impact dvd player compatibility..

    so, you really need to test yourself
