  2. you need to rerip from the original source, if you start with bad quality, you will end with bad quality. Garbage in, garbage out.

    @rcmpayne,

    tgm4883's right.... if you already have a crappy quality video...you can't really make it better because all the video information already has been lost...you need to start with a better source.

    'Cartwheel' always had geat suggestions for cleaning up VHS video.

    by "cleaning up" you're always sacrificing something to make something else "appear" better

    for example, if you wanna remove video blockiness, you can lower the resolution and make the video look "softer"... the blockiness will go away, but then your video will not be as sharp....

    some noise reduction filters end up sacrificing video sharpness....

    But I saw some real magic on this site a few years ago. If it did not happen - then I guess my eyes deceived me.

    Actually Cartwheel was more of the cartoon guy. There was a dude here at that time that could make the most blurry video capture look better than DVD. Filters period. It worked.
