  1. I'm currently looking for either a codec or program that will let me create DivX 4.12 encoded files.

The original files I want to re-encode are all avi files.

I found an alpha 4.11 codec for quicktime, but it is only a decoder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why DivX 4.12 and not 5.07?

  4. I am re-encoding avi files so that I can play them on my pocket pc. I have not been able to do this on the mac. I've had great success with virtualdub on the pc, but only have access to one at work.

I wanted the older codec to see if it would be compatible.

    I haven't tried forty-two or forty-twoDVD-VXPlus, but I thought these only re-encoded dvds.

The files I've made with ffmpeg don't work.

I'd love to hear if anyone has succesfully created DivX files with OS X that play in pocketmvp.

    Thanks
