  1. i just bought a pionner 104 (dvd-r) and a 10 pack bulkpaq orange 4x. i heard bulkpaq are crap for movies and i was wondering if they are any good for games, data etc. also what is a good all round dvd-r?

I would say Brand name TDK and Verbatim. and Also riteks are good, nvery had any problems on there disks. i have had DVD+R/RW verbatim DVD+r/RW and DVDR-R TDK Brand and Ritek GO3 DVD-R (1x but 2x on sony DRU500a 1.0f rimware. I never had problmes with these Disks burnt over 50 + DVDs. But i had Problems with memorex. out of three disks 2 failed. So i never bought them again.

    I choose Ritek. I've tried Princo, Memorex, Optidisk, and others and I had problems. I haven't had problems in over 200 burns with Ritek.

  4. Pioneer definitely has the best DVD-R discs, but also the most expensive. Besides, Pioneer is getting out of the blank media business just like Kodak out of the CD-R business. Samsug BeAll also produces very good DVD-R discs.
