  1. I use Dvd Decrypter to read & write single layer and use it with dvd2one & Nero for dual layer.

I made two perfect copies of 1 x single and 1 x dual layered dvd and both of them had no audio. I only select 6 channel eng audio files (as i have done with many others) as I don't have DTS. Any suggestions.

I had backed up another 4 dvds in between the 2 bad ones being made. In all my time backing up I have never encountered this problem.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

P.S. I have checked the settings on my two players to make sure that they weren't switched to DTS and still no good. Always same media and same processes but only the first time this has happened ever (twice in one sitting )

  2. I know that the two movies "I know what you did last summer" and "The Animal" are both Columbian films. I have read on another post that someone had a problem with Columbian films, but they didn't say how they fixed the problem.

    Any ideas, anyone???

  4. you prolly removed the default audio

when you play your DVD, just select the AC3 6-Channel English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround that you kept.

    1) audio menu

    2) audio button on your remote

  5. Thanks for your comments guys . I have actually solved the problem. For those of you who have the same problem, this is what i found.

"I know what u did last summer"

.....it is a dvd5 so i originally used dvd decrypter and read and write in iso mode (the result, no audio) The Solution...I used file mode, selected only movie files (you could probably select the whole movie for a DVD5). I then used dvd2one (as usual) to transcode the movie. When I got to the audio section i found that the top audio file was an MPEG EXE file (i have only ever found a couple of movies that have this and I had never chosen it). Because it is on the top i assume that this is the default audio considering i removed all the menus. I selected the 6 channel file (which by the way was the only one left to choose). Once finished, i burnt the video_ts file with Nero and it worked fine. So from now on i am not going to do a straight read and write for the DVD5 because file mode will ensure I have less coasters!

The Animal...DVD9...This time instead of only choosing 6 channel, I selected the 2 channel also. This solved the problem.

In short if I ever have another Columbian film I will include both 2 & 6 channels just to be safe, at this point I have never had any trouble selecting only 6 channel on any other company so I will continue to only choose 6 channel on those (hoping that this will keep the picture quality at its best)

    Happy Backing Up All......
