i have a win tv \ pvr and i want to capture from a dv camera is it worth getting another dv capture card or will this be ok through the svhs socket will a dv card be any quicker or better sorry for the ignorance its a new thing to me

Not real DV need a lot lot more space then you have to convert it mpeg format.

SHS it right, there won't be that much difference between a DV capture and an Mpeg2 capture through the S-video and the file size of a DV file it huge in comparison to Mpeg2 and editing it a pain especially if you don't have really big and fast hard drives. Stick with your Win TV PVR..
