  1. I'm just there is a simple solution to this. I'm capturing TV Shows from a VCR. Using Pinnacle Studio 8 for the capturing at best 608x464. Then running them through TMGENC at MPEG-2 720x480 29.97fps VBR Full Screen. Then using Ulead Movie Factory at 720x480 for the DVD Creating. And when I play it - it's coming out in widescreen. How do I get that fullscreen? Thanks for the help

In the advanced settings of TMPGEnc Plus, choose Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio). TMPGEnc Plus should not alter the origional once that flag is set. I'm assuming that the capture is full screen on your source file prior to putting it into TMPGEnc.

Moviefactory should not transcode the file if it is created properly in TMPGEnc Plus, so I don't think that step causes your problem. You will know by viewing the file prior to authoring it in Moviefactory.

Kind of odd that it would come out widescreen. Is it squishing and stretching the picture or is it creating black bars that cover part of the image?

  3. Actually it sort of looks like a little squishing going on but not too bad. I am trying a bunch of test on TMPGENC to see what I get.. I'm trying full screen keep aspect ratio and it seems to have black bars on the sides I am going to burn them to a dvdrw and see how they look on screen tho
