on a vcd my friend gave me, when I played it in my DVD player I could skip ahead to say the 15 minute mark or the 33 minute mark or wherever, but with a VCD I made I can't do this for some reason. This is a hassle becuase it means if I want to watch the VCD from the 45 minute mark or wherever, I have to fast forward for ages to get there. I used Nero to burn the VCD.
Any advice?

if im not mistaken you vcd doesn't have chapters so you have to hit the fast forward button (>>) and hold it to skip. i know on the vcds that i have i don't have any chapters and i have to fast forward to view ahead.

yeah, you're right there is no chapters on this vcd. Is there anything I can do to overcome this?

ok, so it looks like I need chapters to solve my problem. I'll have a look at the links and work out how to do it.
Thanks -
If you want to skip ahead to a certain time, press the search button and enter the time you want to play from. It will then play from this point without having to ff through the disc.
