Ok Here Goes, If You Can Bare With Me I Would Love You All! LOL

I Made An Exact Copy Of One Of My DVD'S To A DVD-R. It Worked Perfectly Fine On My Playstation 2. Then I Popped It In My Stand Alone Player But It Wouldn't Load Because My Stand Alone Doesn't Support DVD-R With Menus. (BIZARRE)

But My Friend Who Just Moved To Columbia Ripped The Footage From His Camera And Burnt It To A DVD-R For Me.

Now The One He Burnt For Me Worked On My Playstation 2 And My Stand Alone Player.

The Problem Is The One I Burnt Loads Menus And A Whole Bunch Of Other Stuff. And The One He Burnt Me Doesn't Have Menus. It Loaded As A Blue Screen With A Whole Bunch Of Boxes Going Straight Down The Screen On Both My PS2 And My Stand Alone. It Looked Like How The Stand Alone Boots An MP3 Cd.

If Anyone Can Please Teach Me How To Burn .AVI Or VCD On To A DVD-R So It Can Load With The Blue Screen (No Menu's Or Anything) So That It Works On My PS2 And My Stand Alone I Would Owe You So Much!

Thanks Everyone Who Is Willing To Help Or Was Willing To Help But Have No Idea What Im Talking! JOE

  2. Making every word captalized is hard on the eyes there.

There are alot of guides on how to put an AVI and VCD onto a DVD. The VCD part isn't exactly the most compatible and the AVI one is mostly how everyone starts out.

Check the How Tos over on the left here.

Also the VCD trick might not work on a PS2. I can't say for sure, but sounds like it wouldn't.

What do you mean exact copy of a DVD? What procedure did you use? Have you tried to rip the DVD and burn it that way?

Ok, The Way I Did It Was I Use DVD Decrypter And Then Burnt With Nero. I Know How To Do That.

What I Would Like To Do Is Burn Movie Clips I Have Downloaded And Stuff I Have Taken Off Camera. And I Would Like To Know How To Burn It So Were It Boots With The DVD Players Standard Blue Menu. Like Were It Lists The Files. You Scroll Down And Hit Play. Not A VCD A DVD.

Thanks For Trying To Help. JOE

For straight encodes, I use a Ulead program called Video Studio 6. I load the clips onto a story board time line, the have the program create the DVD.
