  1. Whats the story with these. Nero's telling me its an illegal media. Now I've not had it that long but I have wiped it a couple of times. Is it knackered? Do they really last so little a time? Im using a Ricoh disc in a Ricoh drive.

Are you using an old version of nero? I use +rw all the time without a problem. You may need to upgrade your nero

  4. I use Philips (PHILIPS.001) and Memorex (RICOHJPNW01) DVD+RWs.
I`ve rewritten some of them at least 100 times, still work well.

All my softwares and firmwares are up-to-date. My drive is set to write ROM booktype. Therefore I have no problem.

The latest Nero5 is 5.5.10.42 at the moment.

I had some that were rejected by Nero as well, all it means is that particular RW was physically bad, We win some and we loose some. Welcome to modern manufacturing.

I have only had one physically bad +RW. I typically stay with Khypermedia +r's and +rw's. They are really cheap and really good.

And you say you have ver 5.5......5.5what...there are a lot of 5.5 versions

  7. Try doing a full erase instead of a quick one - I don't have any idea why this worked for me on a -RW I had "die" on me a while back, but it did - might work for you on the +RW... ?

  8. Thanks. Looks like I've just got a bad one. Its Nero 5.5.10.35 btw and I can't do a full erase either. Oh well

I've had some +RW's that work from the box, and others that I had to do a COUPLE full wipes on before they'd work.

If you have access to RecordNow, try that.
