  1. I'm thinking of ordering DVD's from Hong Kong, (Blow, Hannibal, The Mexican etc.) i've found really cheap sites like coolashop.com, DVD/VCD are English language with Chinese subtitles - does anybody know if the subtitles can be 'turned off' or will they show over the movies ?
Is it the same for DVD & VCD ?
Has anybody used this or similar sites ?
They will be shipped to the UK.

The DVD-subs should be "selectable" and be "turned off" but maybe not on all chinese releases. VCD-subs can not be turned off.

You'll be disapointed with the quality
If I'm not mistaken they're bootleg dvd, might as well look for the Malaysian ones, esp. with the logo DVD9 in front, they're All-Region and an exact copy of the R1 (well, most of them anyway)
    The quality is amazing
    In my contry (Indonesia),they're a merely $5

I got American Pie 2(DVD) from Malaysia today and the quality was great.
4 different subtiteles + turned off.
Great interactive menu with all the options like a original DVD.
