I done a search, on this site and on google, and I've come to the conclusion that there are no multiregion hacks out currently for my Sharp DV-S1H.
What I'm asking is, will there ever be one, or is it just not possible?

The only hackable Sharp player was one made by Sampo (the DV740H). Even if the S1H is made by Sampo it simply will not be hackable, as they are now using soldered EEPROMs - i.e. the original firmware can no longer be isolated and analysed as it was with the DV740H.
So, I'm afraid, the S1H joins all the other unhackable Sharp playersWebmaster of Area 450, the independent site for owners of Sampo and Maxent DVD products the world over
