No audio with Pinnacle studio 7

Hope some can help me.

I am trying to capture some home movies from my analog camcorder to pc. I have tried vdub, sonic, ulead movie factory but the video quality is to my eye not as good as Pinnacle Studio 7 se.

However the capture the I get sound but no video and when I stop the capture the file produced has no audio.

I have gone into all the settings but can see nothing about turning sound on / off.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Not an expert but have you tried looking at your capture card settings, i know my avermedia one if i want sound you have to enable the windows mircophone record in on. If you go into the volume control in windows and in advance props it should be there somewhere where you check a box to enable.

Thanks for reply, but still no joy.
I get sound if I use Vdub or the ATI MMC software.

Have also tried UleadVideo Studio version 5 - still no sound.

Someone must have tried to capture from a analog source using these tools.
