  1. Right now, I have two files. A bin and a cue. Inside these files are three folders...

    EXT
    MPEG2
    SVCD

How would I go burning this onto a 700 MB/ 80 Min CD-R so that it is possible to play it on a DVD player capable of playing a SVCD?

load the cue into the cd burning software and it should burn the bin onto the cd. make sure you dvd player can play svcds first.

  3. I did, I burnt it at 2x and when I loaded it into my DVD player, it wouldn't play. I'm positive my DVDplayer plays SVCD

you probably burned it as data. try this:

click on burn image, and then look for the cue file, and then put burn, oh and speed doesnt matter, or shouldnt.

where did this bin .cue file come from, cause sometimes when i would back up a dvd using DVD2SVCD, and tell it to make bin cue files and i would burn them, but they were never good. sometimes they just dont come out right. so maybe try to extract the MPEG files from the bin file using hmmm whats that program called iso buster. ive never used it, but they say thats what its for.

I use DVDx2.2 to convert DVD VOB files to SVCD (MPEG2) compatible files and then load the MPEG2 file to VCDEasy 1.1.5.2 and burn. Very simple.

I use Intervideo to capture Hi8 (or VHS) tapes thru an MSI TV@nywhere capture card to SVCD (MPEG2) resolution files and then load the MPEG2 file to VCDEasy 1.1.5.2 and burn. Also very simple.
