  1. hi

i really hope you can help me as this is doing my head in !!!!

i've got a dvd burner (i wish i had'nt botherd now) and i've produced some excellent dvd's. movie files that download in just one file i can deal with, changing from ntsc to pal and time warping the audio, no probs. what i can't get my head around is files that have been split. i can join them and check for bad frames and they appear to be perfectly joined, no overlap and the audio and video perfectly in sync. the problem is when i try to convert the joined files to pal dvd the audio always goes out of sync. this happens with all the files i join.
any help you can offer would be grately appreciated

    cheers

Extract the audio from both files, join them in a program like Gold Wave. Join the the two video files like before,. but add the new audio from the joined files. This should do it.

  4. well i tried what you said, i extracted the audio from each file using goldwave, rejoined them also using goldwave, extracted video only from both files using virtual dub mp3 freeze and rejoined them using the same, converted the video from 23.976 fps to 25 fps, timewarped the audio to match, and the end result is still way out of sync.

whats the best way of producing a ntsc dvd as i have given up on converting to pal, the only reason i wanted to convert to pal is that ntsc is a bit jerky on playback

    cheers

You can try somwe of these guides for audio synch problems.

Also jerky playback may be caused by improper converting framerate different than your source, or by incorrect field order setting.
