  1. Hi everybody,

    I have the following problem:

    I captured an DVD-compatible mpeg2-stream from my tv-card to harddisk (720 x 576@25fps, pal-germany).

Can somebody tell me how I can create a DVD-vob-structure? I wanna burn it 2 DVD.

Cyberlink PowerDirector 2.5 will re-convert the hole stream, that's not really fast...

The stream IS already in DVD-format, but a *.mpg-file.

    Help!!!

Thx and sorry for my bad english, I'm german

    Hi,

You'll need 'some' tools to do that job...
First you will need TMPGEnc to demux (split) audio from video...
Second you will need a authoring program to 'author' these files to DVD format (eg. make a vob structure)...
I use DVDMaestro to do this, because it's also possible to make menu's etc. with this nice proggy...

    'HAG

p.s. this is 'only' one way to do this job, but there are probably more ways to do it...

  4. Not all authoring proggies need seperate video and audio streams.

  5. Hi, You might want to try TMPGEnc DVD Author. It's pretty good to author a dvd.

As mentioned in a couple of posts above I also use Ulead Movie Factory.
It's very easy to use and gives you the facility to add menu's, chapters, background menu sound etc.
Nero will convert the .mpg for you in the simplest format, ie. no menu's, no nothing.
    Good luck
