I was havin a problem with encoding a mpg to divx/xvid. The file sizes were to big even though i was using bitrate calculators.
Lookin at Vdub i saw my audio output filesize was larger than the video...then i saw..no compression.
In Vdub the audio is on Direct Stream Mode. So I click on Full Processing Mode and click compression and Vdub crashes.
It says An out-of-bounds memory access (access violation) occurred in module 'lameACM'...
...while enumerating formats for audio codec "LAME MP3 Codec v0.9.0 - 3.93 (stable)" (acompchoose.cpp:188)...
...while enumerating audio codec ID 001482c8 (acompchoose.cpp:183).
Now i am stumped on how to fix this or what this means...could someone please help me!
I have a XP2200+
512 Ram
120 GIG
Radeon 8500le
Realtek Audio AC97
Thanks

You could try downloading a newer Lame MP3 Encoder, and it might fix the problem. I think I saw v3.94 (Alpha) that was out.
