Ulead DVD Moviefactory2, any alternitve software?

I'm having problems with Ulead DVD Moviefactory2, I love this program, I got it to work once, but since then it gets to 62% of converting video files and crashes. I'm using the 30day trial from their website.

Is the any other programs like this, which make it easy to make your own menus and add your own video files???

I would suggest using TmpGenc for the conversion to mpeg-2. Other possibilities are CCE and Mainconcept. Then Ulead MF should be fine for the authoring part, adding menus and chapters etc. Just make sure you set it up to not encode compliant files and if required you must also tell it to use the mp2 audio from your mpeg files otherwise it will convert the audio to uncompressed PCM, wasting loads of precious disk space.
