  1. Need some advice guys, I want to capture some vhs video using my video player onto my pc, through my s-video in port and my line in port on my soundcard.
I've tried already and used ulead dvd movie factory 2 and pinnacle studio 8.0, both came up with capture error. when I tried using the software that came with my tv card the video captured into mpg but no sound was captured even though It could be heard through the computer.
The s-video is going through my graphic card as my tv card doesn't have any input port.
I just want the easiest possible way to capture through my system and the best software that I should use.
Any help would be much appreciated

How can it be a TV-in card if it doesn't have any input?

I mean, you HAVE to have the signal coming into THAT card to capture from that card, or through that card.

And then, the audio out to the line in of the audio card, and make sure that "line in" is enabled in your multimedia properties..

    More specifics, please.

That sounds odd, but I bet your sound isn't configured properly in your Windows volume controls. Be sure LINE-IN is selected, volume at mediaum level, and not on mute. make sure the cap program has LINE IN selected. Make sure the wire really is in the LINE IN hole on the card.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

  4. The tv card only has a input for a tv aerial no s-video port on it, I've checked my sound properties on the settings for line in and mute, settings there o.k. Ball ache.
