was using MF2 making SVCD's with menu and chapters without any problems. then i started getting error messages about "some frames are outside the total..." and it wouldn't burn the SVCD. i really like the easiness of the chapter feature when it works. any ideas, guys?

  2. I've noticed posts from others who get that message.

I have personally never received that message.

But I have observed that it seems to happen to those who are using source MPEGs that were ripped from commercial DVDs.

Are you using such source MPEGs?

My source was a d/l'd SVCD which was made from a telesync when i first noticed the problem. but now it doesn't see to matter what source i use. it gives me the same error message all the time. it's more like "some entry points are beyond the total number of frames." tried removing the last chapter, didn't matter. can't remove the first chapter, not an option. tried uninstalling and reinstalling MF2, no difference. i've used this same version to burn SVCD's with menu and chapters and even background music in the past (made like three good ones before the problem started).
    Appreciate any help anybody gives.

I know what the deal is.
The chapters fail when the MPEG2 is Telecined
video. That is 24 fps video with pulldown flags
to make it 30 fps. I don't think it's the chapter
insertin that is the problem. You can see the displayed thumbnails.
It is the final check that fails because they are
calculating movie length using the actual number
of frames rather than the playback length
Just dont put any chapters past 80% and you will
    be sorta OK.
