    Hi,
I've been burning to DVD-R for a couple of months now, from Digital Video footage shot with a video camera, and using Pinnacles Studio 8.5, if anyone knows of it, to edit, authur amd burn.

Anyway, managed to burn my current project on to -RW disc, just to be on the safe side, it plays fine so I wanted to output it on to -R disk.
But after puttindg the disc in, the drive did nothin, and wouldn't eject, so's I turned off the PC, made sure the 2 cable were in properly, and re-started. The drive is now recognised, but i am now unable to burn, as when put it, the drive does not burn, it just makes a dodgy 'clicking/whiring sound'

So have you got any advice, any help @ all?
The wierd thing for me is that it was oinly a couple of hours after successfully burning the 1st disc, so what happened between that and the 2nd one?

There weren't 4x disc by any chance?

Also you may want to try pulling the power cable and reseating everything related to the burner, but it sounds like something bad has happened if you ask me.

If you haven't updated your buner and tried to use a 4x disc it very well might have burned it out.
