    I have ripped the Mummy DVD with DVDx and TMPGEnc, and it is 1.16Gb. I need to burn it to CD to free up HDD space. I have tried cutting it with TMPGEnc, and I can cut one half successfully, with a 592Mb size, but when I try to cut the other half TMPGEnc, MyFlix and VCD Cutter always crash.

    I don't know exactly how to fix your current rip, but in the future try using the file cutter in DVDx as it encodes. It's under output settings. Fill the max size you want into the "volume don't exceed" blank. You can try splitting with bbmpeg or mpg2vcr... links to demos on this site.
