  1. From a backup copy can i just copy disk to disk ie: source disk in dvd drive and destination disk in dvd writer will the copy work or do I have to transfer files to harddrive and burn from there

  2. If your are talking already burned DVD's yes you can. I really would not recommend copying on the fly....because any hiccup in your source drive will create a coaster. My prefered method is creating an ISO then writing that ISO to DVD.

    I used to do COPY on the fly to save time ...but somethimes a thing as small as a fingerprint will cause a read error and you are stuck with a coaster.

    It takes a little longer but if i get an error creating an ISO I just clean the DVD and try again.

    Yes you can. Create a folder on the desktop, drag to it, burn from it, then delete it -- very simple.
