  1. Is it possible to get both VCD and SVCD quality files on a DVD?

If this is possible...how is it done?

I checked ChrissyBoy's website and the answer to the FAQ question would not come up!

Yep, it is possible. Works perfect on my Pioneer DV-444 also. Be sure to create separate VTS(video title set, called tracks in tmpgenc dvd author) for the SVCD and VCD, svcd2dvdmpg+, tmpgenc dvd author supports this.

  3. That's just what I wanted to hear!

Are there any other programs that support this feature? For instance...Maestro? That is the authoring software that I use.

If not then I will try to use the TMPGEnc Authoring software or SVCD2DVD+.

Is there a tutorial to do this in the TMPGEnc authoring software? I am not familiar with it.

  6. I have an idea about doing this in Maestro. I just want to hear people's thoughts on this.

    1. Convert VCD's and SVCD's to DVD compliant MPG's.

    2. Author your DVD and export to audio and video folders.

    3. Since you know which VOB's are SVCD and which are VCD, move the VCD VOB's to a temp foler and then patch the SVCD VOB's.

    4. Then put everything back and test/burn.

Will this work? How does that patch work? Does it just patch the VOB or does it write somethign elsewhere? I am interested in trying this. Any feedback would be great.

  7. Meastro can make a mess of your vcd's. I tried a few times to make it work but there was a lot of trouble with audio sync and wierd red and with blocks in the video.

Did you try and put both svcd and vcd in dvdlab of tmpgenc dvd author?
