  1. what is the easiest video editior to use? something really simple, i just need to edit some clips i have

    I use Adobe Premiere. You can learn simple edits real easy. Or you can go more advanced if you want.

    If all you want to do is cut sections out and maybe apply a few filters, virtualdub is freeware and able to do this.

    different editors will accept different files, TMPGEnc will only accept MPEG1 and MPEG2 video not AVI, WMV, RM, etc, VirtualDub only accepts AVI.

    No experence with Premeire, unkown file input support.

    i disagree with the above post. tmpgenc will accept avi and it will accept wmv if you rename it to .asf and it is easy to do editing in tmpgenc plus before converting to mpeg
