  1. I got a .avi file which has video but no audio. I already have codec for both anyway so I am not sure what the problem is. Here is what GSpot says about that .avi file.

    Video Format: xvid
    576 x 304 (1.895 : 1)
    870 kb/s
    23.976 FPS
    01h 36m 15s
    Audio Format: 0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3
    133 kb/s (66/ch x 2 ch) VBR LAME3.91
    48000 Hz
    Codec IS installed for both.
    Directshow Render:
    Source: MEDIASUBTYPE_Avi
    Splitter/Other: AVI Splitter
    Video Media: 4cc: XVID
    Video codec: XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder
    Audio Media: BLANK
    Audio Codec: BLANK

  2. Are there multiple codecs installed for MP3 ? it may cause a problem, also, try posting a snapshot of GSpot 2.2 after you press the Rendering, it will help
