Does anyone know which way the DVD producers are leaning for the format for High Definition DVD's? I have heard of two options:

1 - blue lazer DVD's while keeping mpeg 2 compression
2 - higher compression on red lazer DVD's

    What have you heard?

as far as i know we'll be treated to both. HD-DVD will be DVD-9s containing some form of high resolution mpeg 4 content.
Blu-Ray comes in either standard DVD resolution with upto 15 hours (or so) or HD resolution up to 3(?) hours.
