  1. I know my Apex DVD 3disc changer supports MPEG1/2 ISO on CDR ( screen fires up with file manager screen displaying the .mpg files )

    Can I do that on DVD-R ?

    Try it with a DVD-RW.

  4. you can burn your mpegs on a dvd like you burn your cd, iso format,
that's what i did before I know tmpeg dvd author, now i take my mpeg (48khz, 352*288 at least) and author them with tda, so i can have chapters.

Anyway, you can burn your mpeg on a dvd as iso , it may work, but there is sometimes some issues, some dvdplayer read mpeg on cd but not on dvd

  6. I cannot comment on the Apex 3-Disc changer, but I can tell you that the Norcent DP-300 can play raw MPEG 1/2 ISO on a dvd+r. I did an experiment today and burned some vcd files (ones I created) onto a dvd+r and tried them out in my Norcent. Played beautifully with no authoring!

I used Nero and burned the disc as a dvd data (ISO) disc. (Oh...the Norcent can also play a vob file with no problems also.) I'm pretty impressed for a $45 investment.

Duh. I'm suggesting you use a -RW to test, since it is erable to try again.

RAW ISO implies using a RAW mode. Dump the files onto the disc. There are only a few options. ISO 9660, no restrictions, MODE 1. Either try Level 1 or Level 2. That's about all you can do. If neither work, it won't play RAW ISO mode discs.
