  1. Hello. I would like to know what device you'll use to capture videos with. Right now I have a dazzle 50 and my computer is a 1.3 Intel processor/256 ram.(Just the basics of a com.) And My videos are not that great. When I capture, There's alot of frames being dropped. I kind of know the basics on capturing. But I would like to know what kind of device to use that's good, not to expensive. And what other stuff i need. or if my computer is not capable or what i have to upgrade my com. I think the easier for me is to know what ya'll use that's similar to my computer and that your device works and captures good videos. thanks for your time. I just started doing this and I'm having a great time doing this. But just wish I could make them better. -Roland-

  2. Many people will recommand getting the advc-100 from Canopus which captures in DV.

Another option is to get a digital camcorder with a passthrough feature (for example, the Sony TRV-22). You can then use the camcorder to capture DV avi. Your computer is fast enough but you may need an extra hard drive for video. DV is 13 gig per hour.
