  1. Are there DVD's that can't be ripped? I tried to back up the movie "In The Bedroom" First using DVDShrink. It started to process then gave an error message. DVDFab, with the hack, gave an error message. I ripped the DVD using DVDDecrypter and then used DVDFab and ImgTool to burn a copy. The Warnings and Trailers and one chapter of the movie were perfect, the rest green screens. I went back and tried to play the VOBs from the hard drive and got the same results. So I ripped the movie again. Same result. I ripped it in every possible mode and then with SmartRpper and always the same vob's play and the rest don't. I don't get any error messages ripping it. Why do some chapters and all the preview rip successfully and most chapters don't? I tried two different dvd readers and two computers and the results never varied.

  2. ripped that movie w/ old version of smartripper recently no probs...

try using a dedicated ripper like smartripper or dvddecryptor, rather than the ripper included as part of another program...

  3. Thanks for responding, Poopyhead. Now I know it can be done. But as I indicated in the original post, I did rip it with DVDDecrypter and SmartRipper. I tried all their modes, I tried ripping the rip. I tried IfoEdit. Each time the process completed with no error message, but each time the result was exactly the same. The Warnings, previews and one vob from the middle of the movie play perfectly and the rest don't. If I try to reauthor from the rip with DVDShrink and preview I can see that the images fine until the menu comes up. Then it stops and I get an error message that DVDShrink has encountered a problem. The original DVD plays without problems and there are no scratches.
