    As I know some people have got very different results with the BIOS? and do not work with 4X and even when it does it does not burn right. Advise ? is the Hack version better or the 1.33 B by Pioneer ?

    I have a Pioneer DVR-A05 and use the BIOS updates from Pioneer and have had no probs to speak of yet.

    Only use hacked firmware at your own risk! I would personally never use hacked firmware in case of wrecking a perfectly good drive.
