    Hi i am new to ntsc and i have two dvd movies which are different ntsc, i was wondering if someone can direct me to a uncomplecated guide including tmpg to convert them to pal Dvd-r vcd compatible mpgs

    I'm not familiar with those windows - looks like a capture of DVD2AVI.

    In any case, I know of no guide, much less a un-complicated one. This question is a little beyound me as I've never had a need to do what you're asking, but I've read on it a little.

    Basically, if your source is telecined, you need to run IVTC to get it to 24fps. Then speed it up slightly to 25fps.

    That's all I know - I've never tried this myself. I don't know if the encoders will automatically perform this speed up or not. I've read that tonal control for the audio is needed as the voices will sound a little off-pitch.

    I would suggest you getting your source to a 24fps (actually 23.976fps). Once there, perhaps ask a slightly different question (hopefully getting a better response): How do I convert 24fps NTSC to 25fps PAL?

    So, if you never find a guide, and you get others to help you do this, then you'll be a new "expert" and will be able to write a guide for all others that follow!
