I BU'd a DVD with DVDShrink and it retained the layer break. Is there away to take this out or can I run it through one of the other programs like DVD2one to get the layer break out? Or is it too late cause it is already in the VOBs that way?
OR
Would I need to rip it apart with like DVD22DVDr and reauhor it ?![]()

unfortunately, DVDshrink has not removed the layer break in the current version...hopefully, the author will do that in later revisions

Does it really bother you that much? I never notice the breaks. I guess I don't stare that hard when I watch movies/tv, and learned to ignore imperfections (I did grow up in an era when we moved rabbit ears for better signals). Compared to those days, we have it made.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored. -

Most of the time it doesn't bother me, but I have a couple of DVDs that I did, and the layer break is just horrible, most of the time though it doesn't bother me.
I do ignore alot of imperfections, and most of the time I try to ignore BS post responses, and then again sometimes I can't. I don't understand why you would post a reply like that bro? Why the sarcasm? If you feel I asked a stupid question then don't reply!!!
I try not to waste peoples time and I do read these forums, but maybe I did miss something regarding layer breaks. I know that DVDShrink has a problem with layer breaks, I was just wondering if there is away around it. When I do a BU with DVD2DVDr they aren't there for obvious reasons?
But, is there away to do it without using DVD2DVDr as this would be much eaiser for DVDs where the movie is under DVDr size.....
So any suggeestions?

I've never noticed them. What do they look
like ? When I used to do DVDs the hard way
I removed them. Seems like I remember
looking at them in Ifoedit and they were zero length. -
Well........
Sometimes, there is just a slight pause, which I don't mind, BUT, I have some bad ones that make my TV go black and my sterio kinda makes like a pop, which some times is kinda loud.
So again, most of the time I don't mind, but there are a couple of DVDs that I have BU'd that are really bad IMHO.
Does anyone know if DVD2one removes the layer breaks?sFX WE -

I would not get too bothered with TX. He offers alot of very good advice.
I think the problem here is that TX seems to be in some sort of competition to up his post count. As a result there may be a few too many perceived cavaliar responses.
Ignore him if it doesn't pertain and allow him to continue on his mission.
We all have different motivations. -
1. Open the movie's IFO, usually VTS_01_0.IFO, with IFOEdit
2. Note the cell number where the layer break occurs.
3. Note the PGC number, usually PGC_1
4. Expand VTS_PGCITI and select the PGC noted at (3)
5. Scroll down until you find the cell number noted at (2)
6. The very first entry for that cell - cell type - will have some value other than 8.
7. Double click this line and change the value by adding 8 to whatever's there now. Thus, if it's 2 make it 10, if it's 0 make it 8.
8. Save the file.
9. You may want to do a Get VTS sectors, too. It isn't strictly necessary, but it does confirm the general integrity of the files. -
Hey there NYPlayer, how ya been bro?
So your method will remove this problem? Like I stated earlier, most of the layer breaks don't bother me, but some are really bad.
I guess I will try it and see. Maybe I will try tomorrow and post my results, although it is Sunday, and we all know thats a day to watch SPORTS........ God I Luv BB
Thanks for the info.sFX WE -
PS.
I know TX gives good advice, I have followed his advice at times, and I do appreciate his advice. I Just don't understand why people at times have to post a reply that 1. could be taken wrong or 2. is usless to the topic being dicussed.sFX WE -
@NYPlayer........
