    who knows what´s wrong. installation of mplayer, mpeg2enc and mencoder was successfull!
    this is the terminal information if I click encode

    what I have to do?
    I want to encode just an .mov file into a svcd. What I have to set up normally at video, audio, tools, filter, options?

    Wait for the encoding to finish. There is no error there.

    you´re right.
    but can you tell me why I get after encoding mpg files, .toc (what is toc) and .img files?

  4. .toc is needed if you want to burn the SVCD with MMB.
    The two .img files are needed if you want to burn the SVCD with Toast (use XA multitrack mode).
    The .mpg file is meant for playback on the computer.
