  1. I have a Apple Superdrive in my G4 933 Tower, Pioneer model # DVR-104. In toast this reads as a Pioneer DVD-RW. Can I burn DVD-RW discs on my Superdrive using toast? and erase again using toast like cdrws?

If it is a Pioneer DVR-104 then it should be fairly simple to find out what kind of formats it will burn. Just look through the DVD writers forum.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

Go to the Apple Forums and search under iMovie or iDVD for the "DVD-RW trick". Basically you just load a DVD-R when iDVD asks you for a disc. Then after it has accepted the DVD-R, and before the burn process begins...open the drive and switch in a DVD-RW. You can burn a DVD-RW in iDVD. At least you can with 103 Superdrive, so I assume you can with the later models. I do it all the time as my work flow....I burn to DVD-RW, preview the burned disc, if ok then I copy the VIDEO_TS folder to my HD, then using Toast I burn a DVD-R using Apple DVD-R's. That way I hope not to make any coasters with my Apple DVD-R's which are still abit pricey.

As far as if your drive will burn dvd-rw disks, yes. As you mentioned Toast will allow you to use this disk and burn and erase.

As for iApps, the "trick" mentioned above works all the time for me, i dont see why it wouldnt for you.

    enjoy
