    Hi guys.

Iīve already burned some DVD-Rīs successfully using DVDDecrypter and Pinnacle InstantCopy.
InstantCopy takes much longer than DVD Shrink, for example. But thatīs not a problem for me. Besides, Itīs a demo and will expire soon.

I know itīs possible to convert DVD-9 to DVD-R using only free softwares.
    So, my questions are:

1- What are the best free softwares to use?
2- Is it realy worth buying a software like InstantCopy, as some say the final result is a lot better?

    Thanks for your time...

AS far as free goes, try DVDShrink which should be listed int he tools section. Another not free one is DVD2ONE. Those and IC cover your cheaper ways to do things.

Nothing however beats using CCE to do reencodes, however its quite costly as its a very high end piece of software, and your have to fiddle around with software to help you use it for DVDs (aka via another program such as DVD2DVDR, or DVD2SVCD with DVD2DVD settings)

I should also point out that while CCE has a MUCH higher quality, its also very slow compaired to the others listed as its a real mpeg encoder software.

Personally? If it only needs a little shrinking to save the main movie only I use DVDShrink, if it needs alot I use CCE to save the quality.
