    I have just purchased this DVD/SACD player. I am living in USA This is a region 1 machine. How can I make it region free, as I have loads of region 2 stuff I brought with me when I moved from the UK.

    Ok I have made it region free using the one for all and code 222 222 005 255

    It now plays region 2 but only in PAL I have NTSC selected and am using rgb output. The previous Philips model, I owned did the conversion. Any ideas

    Hello George,

    How did you do to make your Player region free. When I try the different code (using the remote with the 1 5 9 then enterering the 12 digits number, when I press play, nothing happen and the player freeze.
    Thanks for your help.

    I am also very intersted in your question. Did you get any feedback. My curent player can play PAL or NTSC DVD without any issue. How can I do that wiht my new philips DVD795SA ?
