  1. My computer does not like my DVD+R disks, but will accept the DVD+RW disks just fine. It does not recognize them at all in Nero and Record Now Max software to burn dvd's with. They are Fujifilm DVD's if that helps any. Has anyone heard of problems with this type of disks, or is it maybe just my software? Also, if anyone uses any other software to burn .ifo and .vob files ripped with DVD2One, please let me know what you use. Thank in advance.

Update: After 3 coastersin Record Now Max, here is the message I got- Data Job Untitled2 terminated with errors - Erro 10 at sector 0 - Command:5D Sense:05 ASC:50 ASCQ:02

Also, my drive does read regular DVD's and DVD+RW movies, but when I try to read a disk that is in it, it either tells me to enter a disk when there is one in there, or it says the request could not be performend because of an I/O device error. Any ideas?

What OS are you running? You can try DVD Shrink (freeware). Find it to the left of this forum under Tools. Guide available also.

  4. Win XP Pro. I give that software a shot. I'm just curious if this could be be due to my computer or if it is just an error on my part.

  8. I tried DVDShrink, still tells me to enter a valid disk. Thanks for the help tho.

Wow dcsos, that was really beneficial. I will try to get right on that, but im not sure you needed to totally freak out about. I alread posted my OS- Win XP Pro- anyway, i think you need to start taking your pills or stop taking so many- just a thought. Thanks to all those who helped me and I will get on the make and model of the drive- not sure, came with my dell.

Update: It is a Phillips DVD+RW DO1- I think that is what it's called- Wasn't sure how to find it, I just clicked properties under the drive in My Computer.

Also dscos, I did already tell you the disk make. DO YOU NEED HELP ON HOW TO READ? -"They are Fujifilm DVD's if that helps any. " Both the +RW and the +R are Fujifilm, and the other +R are Verbatim, as I stated. They are 4.7GB, 120min. The Fujifilm came in a pack of 4 +R's, and 1 +RW.

TRY NOT BEING AN ASS ABOUT WHAT TO DO, then helping people.

Well then you shoulda posted the information we need and ask for
    IF YOU WANTED HELP!! Simple!

    NOW I can help..its a simple fact

    YOUR DRIVE doesn't support DVD+R

    IT only support DVD+RW

go look at the spec somewhere

YOU CANNOT BURN OR POSSIBLY EVEN READ FROM a plus R

People who bought these drives are the winners of a class action lawsuit against PHILLIPS cause the drives were advertised to do PLUS later..but then couldn't be upgraded..Sorry to the user

Its telling you to find out what the capabilites of your drive are before introducing unsuitable media...

Good thing you didn't put a 4x DVD-R in the a PIONEER A03- an early DVD-R burner- because that would damage the drive..
I don't think you could have damaged your drive, but be more careful in the future and you'll waste less money!

  11. Very sorry dscos- I had no idea that the drive type would be so important to the problem.

Turns out that I did not get the DVD+RW+R drive that was promised to me.

Thanks again for the help, and I really am sorry. I thought you were just being rude to me, but you indeed helped me even after i called you a name. Thanks again.
