  1. Just want to see what the majority of people would buy.

    Your post isn't specific enough:

    1. Ritek 4x DVD-R
I buy the branded ones, but never the silver-only ones.

    2. OptoDisc 4x DVD-R
I buy the gold ones, not the other ones.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

  3. I have used 2x Princo, 2x Ritek, 4x Ritek, 2x TDK, 1x CompUSA brand, and Philips DVD+RW all work just fine either with my Pioneer 105, NEC 1100a, and Sony DRU500ax. The only media I have had problems with and won't buy again is the 4x Verbatim DVD+R and the 4x Apple DVD-R.

  4. Sorry about that. From reading most of the posts it seems like everyone likes unbranded media that is why I didn't seperate the two. As far as the Optodisks go, the two sites I've been to only had the gold and I didn't know there were different ones. Riteks seem to be popular because they're hardly instock so I guess I should pick some up while they have them. Thanks for the information.

I'd go with the Riteks or Optos, personally I've only purchased branded once and it was only because the others were out of stock, never made a single bit of difference in how well the work or last that I can see.

  7. Princo's get mixed reviews. Some people love 'em, others hate 'em.

Optodisk tend to be slightly better, but....

Ritek is definately the cream of the crop of the cheaper bulk media. It's all I use, and I'm trying to remember if I've ever seen a negative post about them on this website? Maybe once or twice, but they're very reliable. 150 burned so far and not a single coaster.

I have only used TDK's that are made in Japan, Fuji, and Apple. I havent had a coaster yet because of the media and they play in all of the players that I own.
