  1. yes, i know, I have seen like 4 posts describing a similar problem, but the replies didn't work with my problem.
I own 3 dvd players (cyberhome 500 & 402 + a jvc dvd player) i have burned an avi file that i have encoded with virtual dub (audio) and tmpgenc. i used the regular settings (full screen keep aspect ratio, etc) and i have burned it with roxio 6.0.
This DVD reads fine on my jvc and ch 500 dvd player, however on the 402 one, the picture just freezes, but the sound continues, i can fast forward the picture, but as soon as i press play it freezes again.
what can i do? right now i am trying to encode the already encoded mpg with dvd2avi and again tmpgenc, lets see if that works, probably not. I have read that this dvd player has problems with tmpgenc, or you have to change some settings, can anybody tell me what to do

  2. What format is your audio? Some players have problems with mp2 audio and will only work right with either ac3 or PCM audio. But to be fair that doesn't really sound like your problem.

Does this only happen with this one disc, or all DVDR discs you've authored.
