Which program is best for the following situation:
I'm backing up the Cowboy Bebop movie. The movie itself will fit nicely on one disc, the extras and whatnot on a second disc.
The issue here is, of course, that I'd like to avoid using DVD X Copy, due to its irritating nag screens and overall lousiness.
Other alternatives?

DVD Decrypter. Read it in ISO mode and create a file..then use it in write mode to write the ISO file to the CD.. perfect 1:1 copy.

No no, you misunderstand (or I misinterpret DVD Shrink's capabilities):
I want to NOT compress the movie, and I _want_ the extras, and I want it relatively seamless...
DVD X Copy will do it, but with nag screens and dubious IFO changes.
I want to put in disc 1, get the movie, and then put in disc 2 and get the extras.

You should be able to do that with DVD Shrink as long as you're willing to make your own menus in authoring step...
If you want to keep the original menus...complexity increases greatly...
DVDShrink rocks...just put the files you want on one disk (no compression) and the others on disk two...easy as pie -
Gurm, good luck finding a program that will do just what you want. What is wrong with a little compression?

OK....here is a simple easy method:
1. rip the vob's to your hard drive
2. Use instantcopy or whatever program you normally use
3. Choose ONLY the movie
4. Put in the first disc and burn
then
5. Run instantcopy or whatever program again
6. this time choose only the extra's (deselect the movie)
7. Put in the second disc and burn -
No guys, I think what he wants to do is spilt a DVD9 disc to two DVDR discs. But do so such that the movie is on one disc and all the extras are on the other.
Spilting the DVD onto two discs is easy (IFOEdit can do this). Spilting it so that all the extras are on one disc and the movie on the other is a little harder, esp if you want to keep all the menus. But fear not. This can actually be done, you just need to use a several programs/steps.
1) Rip the full DVD to the HD
2a) Use IFOEdit to strip out all of the extras while retaining the main menu.
2b) Use IFOEdit to strip out the main movie, while reataining the main menu.
3) Burn each of the new VIDEO_TS folders to a seperate DVDR.
That's the easiest way to do it IMHO. The other way is to go with a program like DVD Shrink (2.3 has a preview window which makes things slightly easier). Choose no compression for what you want to keep. And either deselct or choose 'convert to slideshow' for what you want to delete.
Again do this twice (once for movie and once for extras). And burn the generated VIDEO_TS for both. -
Instantcopy should be able to put the original menu with the extras onto a second disc. Just select everything but the movie. I've done it with a few TV series and it includes the original menu. If you select a button going to a feature you didn't put on the disc, it just won't do anything.
