Hi all, I posess a PowerPC 867MHz G4 with Superdrive. Can you suggest me some dvd media that works fine with superdrive? i have read somewhere that with some media the probability of failing the burn is really high.
    Thanx

    Hi,

i have noted that burning dvd movies at 2x causes some problems (mainly with apple's first generation dvd-r). i have used different brands without problems and no coasters: apple (first series), primeon, parrot, mitsui silver. i have a quicksilver 867 with pioneer a03 and recommend burning at 1x only.

    cheers

Best media are Apple and Pioneer Branded. But plenty have used others....

The suggestion about 1 speed burn is good advice- particularly for Video DVD which you'd like to be playable in/on as many consumer players and computers as possible.

With Data DVD for your own use, it doesn't matter much.

That said, I use Pioneer or 'Laser' DVD-RW for nearly everything (it's a 1 speed burn for me) : if anything screws up a burn (rarely happens to me) I just erase and do it again (Good for when I miss some stupid error in a menu or similar when I'm tired/rushed....
