Hi
Whenever I capture a video, the ability to split it into scenes accoridng to when the stop button was prossed on the camcoder doesn;t work! I've used both Ulead video studio, and scenerlyzer to capture videos, and neither work, to the point where I have to get it to do it visually, which usually breaks it up into too many scenes (although it ironically does seem to still miss soem of the obvious scene breaks, he he)! I'm connected via firewire, so the software should kno when the stop button is pressed inbetween scenes, so I'm lost as to why ti does this! Would love it if soemone could solve this little annoyance for me!
Thank you in advance!

Cant really comment on the software you are using, but I have used Ulead DVD workshop to capture by scene and that worked fine for me.

What are you capturing from? Split by scene only works with DV footage not with analogue. I only discovered this when capturing from my Sony Digital 8 camera, I found I could split by scene some footage but not others. I realised I could only split the D8 footage shot in the camera but not Hi8 stuff shot on a different camera but played back (and captured as DV) from the D8 camera.
