  1. I am wodering if anyone has any ideas. I am converting from PAL to NTSC. I used DVD2AVI to extract to d2v and mpa. I then used TMPEGEnc to convert the video. I rejoined the audio and video and it seemed to work fine. But about an hour into the movie, the sound and video get out of synch. The original fine was 3 difference mpegs combined into one. At the point in the movie where the svcd's switch, there is a big of a lag and the video goes back in time for a few seconds. However, when the audio starts again. it is about 3 seconds behind. Any ideas on how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  2. forget dvd2avi.

just load the mpeg's into tmpgenc directly and do the conversion to ntsc mpeg there.

tmpgenc is about the best program out there for keeping pal to ntsc conversions in sync.
