Worked out how to get higher ripping speeds with smartripper. Used to get 1X, now I can get anywhere between 3X-6X. All I do is to double click the NoASPI bat file before I start SmartRipper.

you will probably like winxp pro then.. i have a athlon 1.4 with a soyo dragon mobo and a creative 12x dvdrom: in win2k i ripped at a max of 2x, in winxp pro using noaspi.bat i have seen it as high as 10.5x. no joke. took me about 10 minutes to rip a backup of titanic to vob's on my hd.

i use to get about 3-4x on win2k... and when using the noaspi.bat it pretty much stayed around 5x the whole time and had some peaks that went up to 8x.
and about xp.. just got my copy today... so ill be tryin that tonight

if you want to rip very...very fast get a lg dvdrom 8120b fast as fu.ck, 10x all day no problems

one other thing that i noticed when testing for speeds... different dvds rip at different speeds. i guess it depends on if more or less blocks are encrypted.
