Hello,
I am stuck in the same place. Did you find an appropriate codec that will handle/compress/decompress "dvsd" format files?
Thanks

I don't think I saw your original post. Anyways, what are you using to capture?
If Premiere, you'll have to frameserve to TMPG. If Ulead (Video Studio5 or Medai Studio Pro6), you can load it into TMPG directly. -
Sorry, I should have been more specific.
My problem is with the "dvsd" format that is being streamed from my camcorder/firewire card. Even though I have got the mainconcept codec evaluation, I still cannot capture any video.
Here are my details:
VirtualDub 1.4d
Mainconcept "dvsd" codec loaded in VirtualDub
JVC 9500 camcorder and generic (although I think now that it is a Pinnacle clone) IEEE 1394 card.
I just cannot get the VirtualDub to capture video!
