  1. Hi !!!

    I´m new in this forum !!

    i bouhgt SVCD2DVDMPG+ an it works very fine for me !!!

    But one question :

    I merged 3 SVCD mpgs to one big mpg 2,2 Gig !!!

    Afterstarting SVCD2DVDMPG+ only the program starts in the dos-box and disappears!!

    So i split the big file into two files and it works !!!

    So now my question :

    What´s the limitation for the SVCD mpg file !!

    big thx for your replay !!!

    I don't know the file size limits so I leave that to Chrissyboy.

    But you don't have to merge, you can add all video files and they will play after each other.

    Thats just due to the fact that the SVCDs were created that way - for continuity whilst you change the disks over.

    Clearly there is a limit to size. As the standard process is to take either disk images or svcd mpegs aprox 800MB i haven't tested with huge files. The philosophy behind the tool is not to join mpegs - let your authoring software do that.

    At what stage does it fall over?
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    I have the same problems like you. I merged 2 files with tmpeg and svcd2dvd+ doesnt start converting. It created only the 2 dvd folders audio and video. I guess it has something with the lenght of the movie to do because I did ist also with a 90 min movie (file size > 2gb) and it worked

    so long

    I have to confirm I encountered the same size limit problem, after I used DVD2SVCD to rip and convert a DVD movie into 1 big SVCD mpeg. It wouldn't load into SVCD2DVDMPEG+ and when I used the "MPEG Info.." right click menu on it, it would say it's not a compliant file. I didn't realize SVCD format has a limit like that, so it puzzled me for a while as to what I did wrong when encoding DVD to SVCD.
